It all started with a croissant and a cannonball...
I was writing a comedy about the 1683 Siege of Vienna - as you do - and got to thinking about reading. I started thinking how books, in particular novels, are put together and what makes them so damned hard to finish. I figured that you should be able to read the bits that are important to you and skip all the boring stuff.
That's how I started The Gates of Vienna.
That got me thinking: who else could use this sort of thing?
Now we've got this Bastion thing on our hands.
